Our comprehensive report for 2023 showcases our commitment to these principles. We have worked tirelessly to enhance our methodology and system support since our baseline year in 2022. This year, we’ve combined spend-based estimates for upstream Scope 3 categories with activity data for Scope 2 and downstream Scope 3. Where possible, we've used activity data from our suppliers to ensure the most accurate emissions totals.
In line with our operational control approach, we account for all GHG emissions from operations under our authority, including electricity and district heating, ensuring consistent and accurate tracking and reporting.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and the improvements in our methodology. This report not only helps us understand our own emissions for 2023 but also highlights areas for further reduction and showcases how our GHG emissions report can assist our customers.
